Record Store Day
Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently-owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally. The first Record Store Day took place on April 19, 2008. Today, Record Store Day is celebrated at independently-owned brick-and-mortar record stores around the world.
We want to thank everyone who came out for RSD 2026! There is always a lot of nervous anticipation with these things, but we are happy to report that it was, again, a great success! We started at 9am with a line of 30-40 folks, who waited patiently, as it took about 90 minutes to get through the initial rush, and then we stayed pretty busy throughout the day!
The next major RSD event will be Black Friday! Also, stay tuned for RSD Essential releases coming up!
All RSD 2026 products that remain are now available in the online store for in-store pickup or shipping.
